Life Certificate or Jeevan Pramaan Patra is an important document that pensioners have to submit every year. Pensioners Life Certificate Online
The Ministry of Pensions and Welfare of Pensioners has provided an option for pensioners to submit their life certificates online. For all pensioners to continue receiving their pension, they must submit a pensioner’s life certificate every year. From today, the window for submitting a certificate for people under 80 years of age will open. There are around 69.76 lakh central government pensioners who can avail of this.

The DoPPW nationwide campaign aims to create awareness among all Central Government Pensioners and Pension Disbursing Authorities about the use of DLC/Face Authentication technology for submission of Digital Life Certificates. The submission of the life certificate is important as proof of the physical existence of the pensioners and a statement that they are alive and receiving a pension.
Jeevan Pramaan Patra Online Registration
Government pensioners must submit an annual life certificate every year between November 1, 2023, and November 30, 2023, which is provided by the pension disbursing authorities, post office, or bank for continuation. Now they can get it from the official portal jeevanpramaanpatra.gov.in/.
A pensioner’s life certificate is a paper proof of the pensioner’s physical existence that takes responsibility for the pensioner being alive or not. This certificate is also known as Jeevan Pramaan Patra. Authorized pension distributors or other agencies such as post offices or banks provide this certificate to eligible persons and it is now a biometric-enabled service for pensioners.
How to register for Jeevan Pramaan Patra Online?
- Visit the official website www.jeevanpramaan.gov.in or open the application or Click on get a certificate option to download software from the website download software.
- Enter the required details in the given field such as name, bank account, email, type of pension, etc.
- Scan your finger and iris for Adhar authentication and enter the account number.
- Wait for the confirmation message to appear of life certificate Registration Successful.
How to get a Digital Life Certificate using Aadhaar Authentication?
Pensioners can use a secure Aadhaar-based biometric authentication method and a software program to generate a digital life certificate. The resulting Digital Life Certificate (DLC) is stored online for retirees and PDAs to access whenever needed. If they do not submit this, their pension may be suspended.

Last date of submission of life certificate for pensioners 2023
You can submit your resume from November 1 to November 30. In addition, the Department of Pensions and Pensioners has allowed super seniors (aged 80 and over) to submit life certificates from October 1 instead of November 1. The November 30 deadline still applies.
In 2019, the Center asked that banks allow senior citizens aged 80 and above to submit their life certificates from October 1 every year instead of November. In November, the remaining pensioners under the age of 80 are required to provide proof of life.
Digital Life Certificate 2023
To get the monthly pension, pensioners have to submit a life certificate, also known as Jeevan Pramaan Patra, to Pension Disbursing Authorities (PDAs), including banks and post offices, in November. Pensioners can register and get a digital life certificate on the Jeevan Pramaan Patra portal. The validity of Jeevan Pramaan Patra is twelve months from the date of its previous submission.
Earlier people needed to visit a bank or post office or needed to connect through an app, but now they can use Jeevan Pramaan Patra Portal for that. An elderly person can easily download their Pramaan ID. A pensioner can submit his life certificate which is attested by a certified officer if he chooses not to appear at the Pension Disbursement Authority (PDA).
